Saw an outstanding game when AIFF U-17 XI won an entertaining 70-minute final of the Subroto Cup 2015 against Little Angel Paradise from Manipur in the presence of one of the game’s greats Pele at Delhi’s Ambedkar Stadium full pack with the spectators on Friday.
Ambedkar stadium reminded me my TFA days, during Durand Cup 1995.
The knowledge and understanding of football is very rich in this crowd.
Often stadium is full and ambiance is so encouraging for a youth team
to perform highest level of football. so was yesterday.
Little Angels Paradise School from Manipur started brighter, taking the lead through an opportunistic strike by AK Loyangamba early in the first half but AIFF XI kept attacking relentlessly and got their equalizer before half-time. Boardingdao Bodo was too good and pacy. I can confidently say India is going to see one of the best attacking center forward in coming days. Reflex and agility is very good in attacking third. His powerful legs always keep opponent goalkeeper in alert mode.

Both
teams played at a terrific pace and the intensity of the game was
incredible. Aggression was so high that Referee need to stop the game
several times. This is future of Indian Football if by HIS grace these
group of boys can maintain this quality of football for next 10 years
then I must say, India is going to place herself in better FIFA ranking in the near future.

AIFF Goalkeeper had a nice interception quality and distribution for counter attack.
